National Deaf Academy Established in 2000, National Deaf Academy (NDA) is a 132-bed residential treatment center for Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing children, adolescents and adults with a wide range of psychiatric and behavioral problems. NDA strives to create an environment that neutralizes communication obstacles and encourages growth. In addition to the psychiatric treatment program, the Preparatory School is a not-for-profit K-12 private school that addresses developmental and language-based needs. Though a "total communication" model is embraced, American Sign Language (ASL) is the primary language used on campus. Services Programs
